❖ Code of Conduct (Teaching Staff)

Teaching faculty of the college should discharge his/her duties and follow the academic standards so as to have the overall personality development of the students.

Teaching faculty should involve him/her in research and society oriented activities.
-
Teaching faculty must update their academic and research output to have professional development.
-
Every teaching faculty shall behave with absolute dignity.
-
A teacher shall not refuse to carry out the academic and administrative decisions taken by the Principal / governing body.

Political involvement of any teaching faculty will not be tolerated, absolute involvement in the academic and a research area is essential.

The teaching faculty must understand that the commitment of the Management is towards the rural society around.

Teaching faculty should work in a proper manner to fulfill Vision, Mission and the Objectives of the institution.

A teacher shall not conduct /participate in private Coaching classes directly or indirectly. He shall also not accept private tuitions.

Staff should abide by the deadlines and submit correct information with knowledge of competent authority as and when required by University/ Joint Director/ any other body

Teaching faculty should follow the innovative measures in the teaching-learning process.

Teaching faculty must approach learner-centric approach.

❖ Code of Conduct (Students)

The students should follow discipline in the college campus.
-
The students should carry college identity card in the college campus.
-
Students must be punctual and regular in attending classes, tutorials, class tests examinations etc.
-
The students should adhere to certain principles that will help them better citizens of the world.
-
Use of Mobile Phone during class hours is prohibited and is liable for punishment.
-
Resorting to any kind of malpractice (copying, impersonation, use of unfair means, exchanging answer-sheets) during examinations will not be tolerated and will be dealt with severely.

Students should carefully follow the Notices put up on the Notice Board (both online and offline). No excuse will be considered if Notices on the Board are ignored.

When a lecturer is absent or is unable to take class, students should maintain a strict order among themselves so as to not disturb the adjoining classes. Under no circumstances should they leave the classroom without ascertaining the relieve orders from the Staff room.

Students are expected to treat the members of the staff both teaching and non-teaching and their fellow students with courtesy both in and outside the College. Students shall not, by their act or conduct, cause damage to the reputation of the institution.

Students are forbidden from inviting friends from other institutions and outsiders to the C Smoking, chewing and spitting tobacco products or pan masala, consumption of alcohol or narcotic drugs is strictly prohibited inside the college premises. Violation of this rule will invite disciplinary action. The college premises is a smoking free zone, respect it.

Students must refrain from mishandling and tampering with library books or college computer systems.

The right to access Girl’s Common Room is reserved to girls.

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who violate this rule. It is mandatory for all students and guardians to sign an affidavit in the pro forma prescribed by the University of Calcutta related to ragging.

Any damage or defacement of college property is a punishable offence. If a college property is found damaged in a classroom while the class is assembled the loss may be recovered by a fee imposing upon the whole class if the students responsible for such damage cannot be detected.

Habitual misconduct/repeated breach of the College Rules & Regulation will be considered as a grave offence and will result in suspension/expulsion of the student with immediate effect.

❖ Code of Conduct (Non Teaching Staff)

Report to duty on time and be on duty during college hours; stay back after duty hours in case of additional requirement.

Adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the college, and to the job responsibilities

Respect and maintain hierarchy in administration

Maintain honesty, integrity, fairness in all activities.

Exercise self-discipline and restrain at all times and deal positively with staff, students and general public

Must not divulge official secrets, mutilate, conceal, alter or forge official documents/ receipts

Must not intercept or misappropriate college money
-
Must not be absent from duty without official approval or approved sick leave

Avoid using social media during office hours

All the employees working under the institution should be respected equally.

Consumption of addictive substance such as tobacco, cigarettes, alcohol etc. is strictly prohibited.

Keep the campus clean.

Misbehavior with female staff or student or any other employee will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken if found guilty
